CHARLES H. LAGERBOM
Membership Chair
American Polar Society

Charles Lagerbom claims a "passion for all things polar!"

He spent two field seasons in the Dry Valleys of Antarctica in the early 1990s as part of a Quaternary Institute glacial geology team from the University of Maine.

He is the author of The Fifth Man: Henry R. Bowers, a biography published by Caedmon of Whitby in 1999. The book is about one of the men who died alongside Captain Scott on their way back from the South Pole in 1912.
